Q: How do I qualify for free services?

A: Any patients that do not make more than 200% above federal poverty level qualify for our services. This is regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

Q: Can I still come to WelcomeHealth even if I have medical insurance?

A: Yes, we accept most private medical insurance and Medicaid.

Q: Do you have an all-volunteer staff at WelcomeHealth?

A: We have volunteers and full-time employees. Having full-time staff means patients are able to see the same healthcare provider for follow-up visits, ensuring continuity of care. Our providers include physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, pharmacists, advanced practice nurses, nurses, dental hygienists, mental health professionals, physical therapists, x-ray technicians, pharmacy technicians and dietitians.

Q: How do I make a dental extraction appointment?

A: Our dental extraction clinic is held every Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.

UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, we have opted not to do in-person scheduling for our extraction clinic. The first Wednesday of every month starting at 8:30 a.m., please call 479-444-7548 rather than come in to book your appointment for our Thursday evening extraction clinics. Phone lines may be busy, so please keep trying until you reach our staff.

Q: How do I make a medical appointment?

A: Medical appointments are made at our front desk by calling 479-444-7548 or visiting WelcomeHealth during clinic hours. If you are a new patient, you are required to fill out paperwork and provide financial documentation. Depending on your illness or reason for appointment, you may be booked three to four weeks out.

If you are an established patient with an acute illness, you may be able to be seen in our work-in clinic during regular business hours. Please call or come in for availability.

UPDATE: Existing patients may qualify for telemedicine appointments. Please call our staff to discuss.

Q: What happens if I miss an appointment?

A: If you are a No Show to your initial appointment with our clinic (either medical or dental), you will not be able to schedule any further appointments with our clinic.

If you are an already an established patient, four No Shows in one calendar year will result in permanent dismissal from services at our clinic.

Medical patients can cancel their appointments at any time, up to the time of their appointment, and can reschedule for the next available medical appointment.

Dental patients may cancel up to the time of their appointment and can call the clinic on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:30 am to schedule another extraction appointment.

Q: How is the clinic able to offer FREE care to patients that qualify?

A: Because of amazing community supporters, we are able to offer our medical and dental services completely free of charge. WelcomeHealth is not funded by the government; therefore, we rely on foundations, corporations, civic clubs, churches, special events and individuals to pay our operational expenses (of roughly $525,000 annually), which allows us to provide our services at no-cost to our patients that quality!
